Daitsu and Nousmedis: optimizing the production of automated air conditioning catalogs

Client overview: Daitsu

Daitsu, the HVAC brand owned by Eurofred, stands out for its reliability, accessibility, and for offering comfort-driven solutions with minimal impact on both the wallet and the planet. Its strong commitment to efficiency, functional design, and technical innovation extends to its automated catalogs for air conditioning, heating, and domestic hot water systems, an essential tool for both its commercial and technical networks.

Eurofred is a multinational company specializing in thermal comfort through air conditioning, aerothermal, and indoor air quality solutions from global brands such as Fujitsu and its own brand, Daitsu. With offices in 4 countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Chile), over 100,000 square meters of facilities, and clients in more than 40 countries, it has a strong international presence.

Efficiency is one of Eurofred’s core values. For years, we’ve had the pleasure of contributing to that efficiency by supporting their brands. Since the talented and enthusiastic Eurofred team entrusted us with optimizing the production process of their Daitsu technical catalogs and price lists for air conditioning units, improving data accuracy and incorporating new languages for international expansion has been a truly rewarding journey.

This is one of those stories where team boundaries start to blur. Year after year, as we committed to improving their automation processes, we truly felt like part of the Eurofred team, inspired by their energy and optimism.

Nousmedis tackled this challenge by developing a tailor-made technology solution, enabling efficient and scalable catalog automation. Alongside that, we built a partnership based on active listening, trust, transparency, and commitment—resulting in both great moments and tangible results.

The challenges: What problems needed solving?

Limited data management and manual processes:

  • Enabling more flexible and faster integration of new data into their existing PIM system.
  • Phasing out manual catalog production. Technical tables, pictograms, images, and accessories needed to move away from rudimentary tools to a streamlined, optimized system.
  • Reducing the technical complexity of accessing data through their internal Web Service.
  • Scaling the catalog to multiple languages for international growth.

The solutions: How do we create automated air conditioning catalogs?

Over five years of gradual collaboration, we modularly automated Daitsu’s editorial process with a solution tailored to their internal pace, priorities, and capacities. The Nousmedis team worked closely with Eurofred to deliver tools that truly supported their daily work:

  1. Web Services integration via Syncwall: We established a stable connection to their data system using Syncwall, our proprietary integration tool, which enabled one-click access to structured JSON data.
  2. Custom ETL processes: We transformed the downloaded data into EasyCatalog-compatible formats, enriching it with additional information from Excel sheets.
  3. Progressive, phased automation:
    • Phase 1: Technical tables (top client priority).
    • Phase 2: Pictograms, icons, and visual elements.
    • Phase 3: Accessory tables and expanded descriptive texts.
    • Phase 4: Image automation.
    • Phase 5: Multilingual implementation (Spanish, plus English, Italian, and Portuguese).
  4. Flexible Templates and Standardized Design: We developed reusable, scalable design modules that allowed Daitsu to make adjustments without code changes or technical support. Our work went beyond delivering just an automated air conditioning catalog: we built a fully scalable solution.

The results: A turning point for Daitsu

Thanks to this progressive, user-centered approach, Daitsu achieved:

  • Drastic reductions in catalog production time: complex technical tables that once took weeks are now completed in days, and updates that took days now take just hours.
  • Minimized human error thanks to structured and automated processes.
  • Greater responsiveness to international markets through simplified multilingual management.
  • Increased autonomy for their design team, now able to generate new versions quickly and accurately.

This transformation shows that with planning, accessible technology, personalized guidance, and proper support, even the most technical processes can become efficient, sustainable, and scalable.
