Meet the team: Clàudia Caballero

カタログ自動化女王私はなる! (Katarogu jidouka ojou watashi wa naru!)

Today, in our “Meet the Team” section of the Blog, we are pleased to introduce you to Clàudia Caballero, programmer and data analyst of our team or, better said, of our crew (if you haven’t already, you will understand later). Below, we leave you with an interview with an excellent worker who not only stands out for her perseverance and attitude towards learning, but also for the sweetness with which she makes our day to day life better.

After a journey through the world of genetics, this adventurous woman decided to take a turn in her life to move into the world of data analysis and programming and, last summer, she joined Nousmedis. Since then, Clàudia has been busy as a bee 🐝. Her perseverance and progression, and her tender way of adding quality to the result of our catalog automation projects, makes us foresee that, in a short time, Clàudia will become the real queen of pirates! You’ll see!

Do you have a morning routine or habit that prepares you for the workday?

Usually, my days start with meows from my cat, who makes sure I’m not late for work (although something tells me that what he really wants is for me not to forget to feed him). I never miss my cup of coffee and, in the mornings when I feel that I need a little more push to wake up, I activate my body with some stretching.

What is your role at Nousmedis?

Currently, I work as a programmer and analyst; I am in charge of helping clients with the automation process of their catalogs.

What are the 3 professional skills or qualities that you think are most valued at Nousmedis?

Patience, willingness to learn and ease in communicating with the team and our customers.

What is your secret superpower at work?

🤫🤫

What is one of the projects you have enjoyed the most in the company and why?

For the moment, I would opt for the data sheets of Gree Products S.L. It was the first project in which I had some responsibility, and although I can’t take full credit for the work, I can say that I learned a lot.

Which catalog would you like to automate?

I remember when I was a little girl, when Christmas came, I would spend hours in front of the El Corte Inglés toy catalog to write my letter to the Three Wise Men. I would certainly love to see what’s behind all those pages that, as a child, seemed so bright and magical to me.

Do you think that the days of printed publications are numbered?

I believe that, little by little, the number of printed catalogs will decrease and new ways of presenting products will be created. However, I don’t think they will ever disappear, either because of their pragmatism or because of the nostalgia and warmth they create.

What do you envision the future of catalog automation to be like?

Well, like everything else, with the participation of the AI 🙂

Can you share a recent accomplishment, either personal or professional, of which you are particularly proud?

It is not a concrete achievement, but I am proud of how I am progressing in life.

Tell us a funny anecdote you have experienced at Nousmedis or a favorite moment.

My favorite moment was the meal we had at Christmas. It gave us a chance to get to know each other a little better and, in addition to getting to know each other, we had a great time.

If you could swap roles with anyone on the team for a day, who would you choose and why?

I would choose Fran, our CIO, or Tomás, our senior IT. I think I would learn a lot in any of these roles, as they have a lot of responsibility and their functions are very different from what I do on a day-to-day basis.

When you are not working, we can find you…

Taking a walk, crocheting, playing with my cat or watching an episode of One Piece.

Recommend a book, podcast, series or movie you’ve been obsessed with lately.

I don’t know if this is an objective recommendation or an obsession, but since you ask me…. Again, I confess: One Piece, without a doubt, One Piece. From the mangaka (and genius) Eiichiro Oda. I would recommend everyone to get into the pirate adventure of Luffy and his Nakamas (his crew mates).

What is the best advice you have ever been given and who gave it to you?

May I live and be happy in the moment. ‘Clàudia: deal with the problems when they come’. This is something that my parents and my partner often repeat to me and that works as a mantra.
